Press Release: Free After Effects Templates for Video Editing

Reston, VA – April 2, 2011 – Well-known stock footage site, The Footage Firm, has just released a brand new 10-DVD set of After Effects Templates for video editing. This is The Footage Firm's first foray into the After Effects special effects template world and they have done a fantastic job with this first offering.

Not only are the templates in the set backwards compatible for After Effects CS3 and higher, but those who do not use After Effects can access the templates through greenscreen versions in .mov (photojpg) format that are provided for where the modified graphics and text would go for alpha channel/chromakey users. Multiple composition sizes in HD (high definition) and SD (standard definition) are also available for the user’s convenience, along with pre-rendered plug-ins, so you don’t have go out and buy a plug-in that was used in the template. They are drag and drop dead-easy!

Additionally, in order to promote this new venue they are stepping into, they are giving away 500 copies ONLY of this After Effects Template set for the price of shipping and handling. But just because they are free, well, that does not mean they are cheap. No way! These are broadcast quality templates for commercial use and in feature films.

They have extensive special effects for different kinds of text and logo intros as well as many styles that are long enough to be used as complete videos in themselves. Just add your own images and text and you’re done. When compared to cost of other After Effects templates out there, this set from The Footage Firm is a real steal for the armchair video editor as well as the seasoned broadcast TV editor.

  1. Hello Crystal,
Do you use iClone? I am sourcing the creation of 3D characters with multiple expressions for an application I am developing, using iClone (because it is fastest for character and mood creation). Would this be a project that you would be interested in and best utilizes your skillset?

    Yes, I have iClone4.
What is it you are looking to have done?
I am very curious about your mood/expression application, as I am feeling this may touch something important in my personal life, and if I am correct in my assumption, then I am most definitely very interested.
